Provide physical security services to high-profile/net-worth clients and their properties while maintaining the utmost level of confidentiality. Security Officers are expected to competently respond to any situation that may arise while supporting the client.

Key Responsibilities for Armed and Unarmed Event Security Officers:

1. Event Security Management: Maintain a safe and secure environment at various events, monitoring activities, and managing security protocols.
2. Crowd Control: Assist in managing crowds, ensuring the smooth flow of people and preventing any congestion or disturbances.
3. Access Control: Conduct security checks and control access to event areas, preventing unauthorized entry and ensuring the safety of attendees.
4. Vigilance: Stay alert to potential security threats or disturbances, responding swiftly and appropriately to maintain safety.
5. Incident Response: React effectively to emergencies or unusual situations, providing immediate assistance and coordinating with emergency services when necessary.
6. Compliance and Enforcement: Ensure adherence to event policies and procedures, including legal regulations and safety standards.
7. Customer Service: Interact professionally with event attendees, providing information and assistance as needed while maintaining a secure environment.
8. Communication and Reporting: Keep clear and consistent communication with team members and supervisors, reporting any security issues or incidents promptly.
9. Equipment Handling (Armed Officers): Properly use and maintain security-related equipment, including firearms, ensuring responsible handling in compliance with legal and company guidelines.
10. Professional Conduct: Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity, representing The Detail Protective Services positively at all times.
11. Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a security team, collaborating with other officers, event organizers, and venue staff to ensure comprehensive security coverage.
12. Continuous Learning: Engage in regular training and stay informed of the latest security practices and techniques.

Age Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age for Unarmed positions.
• Must be 21 years of age or older for Armed positions.

Certifications and Training (varies by role):

• Possess a valid and current driver's license.
• Current CA BSIS Guard Card (mandatory for all).
• Current CA BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit (required for armed positions).
• Training Certifications for Powers to Arrest & Weapons of Mass Destruction.
• Training Certifications for all BSIS Mandated Training & Education (32 hours).
• Current Firearms Qualifications (required for armed positions).
• Basic CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification.

Experience:

• 2+ years of security experience; armed security experience required for armed positions.

Health and Fitness:

• Drug-free.
• Possess a high level of physical fitness and personal appearance.
• Ability to perform continuous physical exertion as needed, including comfortably kneeling, carrying up to 50lbs, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods.

Operational Requirements:

• Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
• Accustomed to operating in dynamic and high-paced situations.
• Ability to work irregular or extended hours, including overtime, nights, holidays, and weekends on a regular basis.

Legal and Ethical Compliance:

• Pass a pre-employment background investigation.
• Required to sign a confidentiality & non-disclosure agreement.

• CA BSIS Baton Permit
• CA BSIS Compliant Chemical Agents Certification
• TASER Operator Certification
• College educated (e.g., Associates Degree, Bachelor's Degree)
• Prior military or law enforcement experience with a proven track record of leadership responsibilities.
• Advanced medical experience (e.g., EMT, Paramedic, etc.)
• International travel experience
• Possess a valid U.S. Passport and be able to travel.
• Previous security experience, including remote monitoring, access control, physical security, emergency response.
• Completion of advanced driving / vehicle dynamics course.
• Familiarity with security equipment such as intrusion detection devices, access control systems, and camera systems
• Prior training in emergency medicine, defensive tactics, arresting techniques, and tactical firearms.
• Prior attendance of a recognized Executive Protection Course (i.e. ESI, EPI, Oatman, PFC, ITG4, TFTT)

Part-Time/Per Diem

$20.00 - $50.00 Per Hour

Specific hourly rate(s) of pay are exclusive to each client assignment.
